How to turn one idea into a week of social posts
A practical way to stretch one good idea into a week of posts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, without it feeling repetitive.
The hardest part of posting regularly isn't the posting. It's the blank page on Monday morning, when you have to decide what to say again.
Here's a trick that changed how we plan content: stop looking for seven ideas a week. Find one good one and look at it from seven angles.
Start with an idea worth repeating
A good weekly idea is something your customers actually care about, and something you have an opinion on. It's usually one of these:
A question customers ask you all the time.
A mistake you see people make before they come to you.
Something you changed recently, like a new product, a new price or a new way of working.
A small win a customer had.
Write it down as one plain sentence. For example: "Most people price their digital products too low because they compare themselves to big brands."
That's your week.
Seven angles on one idea
Now break the sentence into different shapes. Each one becomes a post.
The claim. State the idea plainly as a single strong graphic. Short text, big type.
The story. When did you first notice this? Tell it in a caption of four or five sentences.
The how-to. A carousel with three to five steps someone could follow today.
The proof. A customer result, a before-and-after or a screenshot. Real beats polished.
The myth. "You might think X. Actually, Y." People love being corrected gently.
The question. Ask your audience what they think. Then actually answer the comments.
The video. A 15 to 30 second clip of you saying the idea out loud. It doesn't need to be fancy.
