Free WhatsApp order link for restaurants and takeaways
Make a WhatsApp link and QR code that opens an order chat with your restaurant, with the message already started. Print it on menus, bags and table cards.
- Free, no account needed
- Link, QR and A6 card
- Works with WhatsApp Business
For restaurants and takeaways: what’s different
Phone orders tie up whoever is on the pass, and delivery apps take up to a third of every order. A WhatsApp order link lets regulars message you straight from your menu, Instagram bio or Google profile, with “I’d like to order for pickup” already typed.
Customers don’t need to save your number. They tap or scan, the chat opens, and they add what they want. You answer when there’s a gap between tickets instead of stopping to pick up the phone.
What works
- Start the message with the order type (pickup, delivery or catering) so you can sort chats at a glance.
- Ask for a pickup time in the starter message. It saves a back-and-forth on every order.
- Put the QR code on takeaway bags and receipts. That’s where repeat orders start.
- Add the link to your Google Business Profile as the order URL, and to your Instagram bio.
- Use a separate link for catering and large orders, with a message that asks for the date and head count.
Starter messages that work for food
Hi! I’d like to order for pickup at around … My order is:
Hi, could I book a table for … people on … at …?
Hi, I’m looking for catering for … people on … Could you send me your catering menu?
How to use it
- 1.Pick your country and type the number your WhatsApp is on.
- 2.Choose a starter message or write your own. The phone shows what customers will see.

Questions
Can customers send their whole order in the chat?
Yes. The link only starts the chat. They can type the full order, send a photo of the menu, or ask questions before ordering.
Do I need WhatsApp Business?
No, but it helps. WhatsApp Business lets you set opening hours, an away message for when the kitchen is closed, and quick replies for your menu link.
Can I take payment in WhatsApp?
Not with this link. Most restaurants confirm the order in the chat and take payment at pickup or by sending a payment link.
