For salons and barbers: what’s different
Most salon bookings still start with “are you free on Saturday?”. A WhatsApp booking link turns that into one tap from your Instagram bio, with the question already written, so the chat starts with something you can answer.
The best moment to rebook is while the customer is at the counter, happy with their hair. The printable counter card puts a QR code there, and the chat opens with “I’d like to book my next appointment”.
What works
- Write the service into the starter message (cut, colour, fade, nails) so you know how long to block out.

Does this replace my booking system?
No. It’s a quick way in for people who would rather message than use a booking page. Many salons reply to WhatsApp with their booking link for new clients.
Can I put it in my Instagram bio?
Yes. Copy the link and paste it in as your website, or add it to your link-in-bio page.
Will customers see my personal number?
They’ll see the number your WhatsApp is on. If you don’t want to share your personal number, use a separate WhatsApp Business number for the salon.
