PNG to JPG: what’s different
JPG suits photographs and can be smaller than a PNG of the same photo. It cannot keep transparent pixels, so the background colour matters for cut-outs and product pictures.
Keep PNG or choose WebP when you need crisp small text, a transparent logo or repeated editing. Converting to JPG is a deliberate trade between compatibility and image detail.
